Death by Design - the last night.
Death by Design closed this evening after 3 excellent shows. Our following is increasing every performance and tonight was very well attended in spite of heavy rain and sleet.

Death by Design
A lot has happened since my last blog. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postpone our production of Murder by Design in December 2015. Happily we were able to start rehearsal again in January and we are due to take to the stage at The Rose Theatre from 14th to 16th April.
Rehearsals are going with a bang with everyone now well into their various characters.
The set is almost finished and we are busy sourcing the outstanding pieces of furniture. It remains to be seen whether it goes together seamlessly on the 10th!
After a fraught journey to Nottingham to select costumes Alison has managed to sort appropriate clothing for everyone. Sue has a good range of extravagant hats!
I took photos at rehearsal this Wednesday and will post a selection later this evening.

Company History
Chesterfield Theatre Company is the new name for the long-established Chesterfield Playgoers, who first began performing back in 1926.
The group usually meets every Thursday in St Marks Church Hall, St Marks Road, Brampton and new members are always welcome.
Historically productions were staged at the Pomegranate Theatre, but with the name change came a change of venue, and the Company are now regulars at The Rose Theatre, Rose Hill, Chesterfield.

We have reluctantly decided to reschedule our production of Death by Design due to casting availability. Chesterfield Theatre Company will now be performing at the Rose Theatre, Rose Hill on the 14th 15th and 16th April.
Rehearsals start in earnest after Christmas but meetings are continuing as usual on Thursday evenings and several entertaining new plays have been sampled! New members are always welcome so if you are interested in being involved ring Heather or turn up at our Thursday meetings at 7.30 at St Mark's Church, St. Mark's Rd. Brampton.
